Vegetarian Mother’s Day Menu


3 Vegetarian courses and truffles to make your Mother’s Day special.

Pick up from Joseph Benjamin on Saturday 13th March or Sunday 14th March – choose a time slot at checkout.



All dishes are designed to re-heat at home (i.e. cold on collection). All the cooking is done. The ‘finishing off’ is very simple. Instructions will be provided.

Semi dried tomatoes, labneh, basil and lemon zest dressing, coca bread.
JB house-dried tomatoes are a revelation – super fresh and zingy, dried with oregano and garlic. Our own labneh (fresh soft-cheese) is also pretty special. You can’t go wrong! Spring is coming – fresh, light and vibrant.

Main Course:
Miso and honey braised aubergine, buttered spring greens, dauphinoise potatoes, mint sauce, gravy.
A succulent, tender tranche of aubergine, roasted with a super-tasty honey-miso marinade. Delicious fresh spring greens, creamy dauphinoise potatoes, homemade mint sauce and of course our legendary (vegetarian) gravy.

Muscovado rice pudding, rhubarb and apple compote, stem ginger crumble.
This ‘rice pudding crumble’ has been one of our most popular desserts of all time. A layer of awesome, flavoursome rice pudding, a layer of fruit compote and topped with crunchy crumble.

Salted chocolate truffles.
Just because we love you, we’re making chocolate truffles to finish things off.
